Shipping
Free on everything, no minimum
Every order ships free within the contiguous US. There is no threshold to hit and no size of item that falls outside it.
That includes the three charges this category normally passes on:
- Crated freight on the adult karts and the chassis, which is genuinely expensive to move
- Liftgate delivery, which most sellers charge for as an add-on
- The hazardous-materials surcharge on battery packs, which carriers levy on lithium shipments
We would rather absorb those than run a threshold that pushes people toward an order they did not want. A drift kart is a considered purchase, not a basket you top up to reach free delivery.
What ships how
| Item | Method | Typical transit |
|---|---|---|
| Cadet 24, Cadet 36 | Parcel, boxed | 2-5 business days |
| Ripcord R1, R3, Torque T2 | Freight, crated | 5-10 business days |
| YAWKART chassis | Freight, crated | 5-10 business days |
| Drive kits | Ground, multiple boxes | 3-7 business days |
| Battery packs alone | Ground only, hazmat | 3-7 business days |
| Sleeves, small parts, gear | Parcel | 2-5 business days |
Freight transit does not include the carrier’s scheduling call, which usually adds a day or two. They will call to arrange a delivery window, and someone over 18 needs to be there.
Freight delivery, explained properly
An adult kart crated weighs 110 to 170 lb. That changes what delivery means, and it is worth knowing before the truck arrives rather than when it does.
Liftgate is included. The truck arrives with a powered platform that lowers the crate to the ground. You do not need to select it or pay for it. Without one, a 140 lb crate comes down from the trailer bed by hand, which realistically means you and the driver lifting it together, and drivers are within their rights to decline.
Kerbside is where it stops. The driver brings the crate to the end of your driveway or the kerb. They are not obliged to bring it inside, up steps, or into a garage. Have a plan and ideally a second person for moving it from there.
Inspect before you sign. Look at the crate for damage while the driver is present. If there is visible damage, note it on the delivery paperwork before signing. That note is what makes a damage claim straightforward, and its absence is what makes one difficult.
Access matters. If your street cannot take a 53 foot trailer, tell us at checkout. Carriers can usually arrange a smaller vehicle. Finding out on the day means a failed delivery and a rescheduled one.
Batteries
Lithium packs are regulated as hazardous materials in transport, which produces two consequences we cannot remove and one we absorb:
- Ground only. No air freight, which is why a pack to a distant state takes longer than a parcel would. This is regulatory.
- No delivery to some remote addresses, including certain island and territory destinations. Also regulatory.
- The hazmat surcharge is on us. Carriers charge it, we pay it, you do not see it.
A kart shipped complete has its pack inside the crate, which is permitted. A replacement pack ordered separately ships alone under the same ground-only rules, still free.
Where we ship
Contiguous US, free, on everything.
Alaska, Hawaii and US territories are quoted case by case, because freight rates and lithium battery rules both change materially outside the lower 48. Send us a zip code before ordering and we will give you a real number rather than a surprise at checkout.
We do not ship internationally at present.
If something arrives damaged
Photograph the crate before unpacking, photograph the damage, and contact us within 48 hours. If you noted the damage on the delivery paperwork, this is a straightforward replacement.
If you signed clean and later find concealed damage, tell us anyway. Carriers allow concealed damage claims within a limited window and we will file it, though the outcome is less certain than a noted claim. That is why the inspection at delivery matters.
Returns are a separate question
Free outbound shipping does not make a change-of-mind return free, because sending a crated kart back across the country is a real cost that has to sit somewhere. Faulty items and wrong items are covered both ways by us. The numbers are on returns.
Common questions
Is shipping really free on everything?
Yes. Every order, no minimum, contiguous US. That includes crated freight on the adult karts, liftgate delivery, and the hazardous-materials surcharge on battery packs.
How long does delivery take?
Parcel items 2 to 5 business days. Freight items 5 to 10 business days, plus a scheduling call from the carrier. Battery-only orders 3 to 7 business days, ground only.
What is liftgate delivery?
The truck arrives with a powered platform that lowers the crate to the ground. It is included free on every freight order, because without it the driver is only obliged to hand a 140 lb crate down from the trailer.
Why do batteries ship ground only?
Lithium packs are regulated as hazardous materials for air transport. Ground shipping is a regulatory requirement rather than a choice. The surcharge that normally comes with it is on us.
Do you ship outside the US?
Not currently. Battery shipping rules and freight costs make it impractical at our size. Frames and non-battery parts may be possible on request.
